How Do I Get There?
The Outpost tents are off-the-grid and the journey in arriving is part of the experience. There are several ways to arrive at each Outpost, depending on where you are coming from. Here are the most common routes:
Outpost Patagonia (Reserva Nacional Lago Jeinimen, Chile Chico, Aysen Region): Fly from Santiago, Chile to Balmaceda (approx. 2 hours). Drive from Balmaceda to Puerto Ibañez, ferry to Chile Chico, drive from Chile Chico to Outpost Patagonia.
Outpost Maule (Pan de Azúcar, San Javier, Maule Region): Drive from Santiago, Chile (approx. 2.5 hours). A small airport is also available nearby for private aircraft.
View Google MapsOutpost believes the value of travel is found only when individuals are able to leave behind their personal paradigm, explore what is unknown and return home with a new take on life. But with the secrets of a destination exposed to all online through social media, Outpost is traveling differently these days. Setting out with expectations already defined, relaxing into a different routine, but a routine nonetheless.
Outpost is a response to this dilemma, from the need to help change the way you travel through Chile. To go where tourism doesn’t exist today, where one can feel overwhelmed by nature and touched by the local (remote) culture with 100% guided, logistics support and carefully curated camp comforts.
Getting off-the-grid is not always a straight-forward process. It’s exciting and eventful and, of course, always supported by the Outpost team who also await you with a camp-cooked meal.
Outpost sites are remote and, as a result, don’t have Wi-Fi. Conversation, introspection and full immersion in the present moment are what we encourage.
The landscapes where you find Outposts are mind-blowing. The kind that give you pause to ask big questions.
