How Do I Get There?

Alpenglow located about 2 hours NE of Anchorage on the Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway.

From Anchorage or Palmer, take the Glenn Hwy (Route 1) towards Glenallen. Be sure to stay on the Glenn Hwy towards Palmer, NOT Wasilla. You must exit the 4-Lane highway to stay on the Glenn.

Directions from Anchorage or Palmer:

Take the Glenn Hwy (Route 1) towards Glenallen.

At the Glenn Highway/Parks Highway junction (mile 35) be sure to exit the 4-lane highway (East) to the right to stay on the Glenn Hwy heading towards Palmer – Do NOT go towards Wasilla.

Continue on the Glenn Hwy through Palmer (mile 42), Sutton (mile 62) and Chickaloon (Mile 76) then keep driving another 20+ miles

Driving times to MICA Guides from:

Anchorage: 2 to 2 1/2 hours

Palmer: 1 1/2 hours

Wasilla: 1 1/2 to 2 hours

Driving times may vary greatly. The following are approximations. Summer is road construction season! Plan plenty of time to enjoy the drive. If you arrive early, you can enjoy an espresso and scone with a great view at MICA Mocha.

Experience camping like never before. Spend the night in a rustic, cozy canvas glamping tent featuring Alaskan decor and a spacious porch with spectacular glacier views. Enjoy privacy and tranquility in the handmade cedar hot tub. Complementary fresh Alaskan coffee and a light breakfast provide the delicious energy needed for a day of adventure. The secluded cedar hot tub is nestled in the woods and is open to guests in the evening from 7:30pm-10pm. The common area is just a short walk from your luxury tent. The common area also has a green lawn where guests can sit back and enjoy the Alaskan sun and views along with a fire in the fire pit every evening.

Alpenglow Luxury Camping is not a campground and does not have areas for guests to cook food. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the area that can be found on the MICA Guides website.

There is no shower facility on the property.
