Reservation and Cancellation Policy
All canceled reservations received 31 or more days prior to arrival are subject to a 10% cancellation penalty.
Reservations canceled within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to a 50% penalty.
Reservations canceled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to a 100% penalty and are responsible for the entire stay and will forfeit all payments.

PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO USE A GPS DEVICE, THIS AREA IS NOT PROPERLY LOADED. IT WILL LENGTHEN YOUR JOURNEY.
ALSO REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST TAKE THE BELFAST OFF RAMP FROM THE N4 HIGHWAY. DO NOT CONTINUE ON THE N4 AFTER THIS.
Directions to Shikwari Bush Lodge & Pangolin Bush Camp from:
Tambo International Airport:
Taking the road to Pretoria, you will be on the R21 then take the N12 to Witbank which joins the *N4 continue on this highway passing Witbank (eMalahleni) & Middleburg. TakeBelfast off ramp - (R33/R540)
- Turn Left into Belfast, onto Vermooten Street and past the “Spar Supermarket” on the right and after the second cross road passing the Shell Garage continue past the Spar supermarket at the next crossroad onto Voortrekker Street and continue straight to Dullstroom on the R540.
- Drive through Dullstroom Village and continue to Lydenburg (newly named Mashishing).
- At the T-Junction turn left into Lydenburg on Viljoen Street then continue on passing numerous stop street after passing the shopping centre with the Spur continue straight for 4 more stop streets then up a hill and take the next turning left passed industrial buidings at the cross roads turn right. You are now on the R36.
- Drive straight through Ohrigstad (approx 47) kms now again on R36. You will pass turnings to Burgersfort, Pilgrims Rest and Graskop continue passed these turnings and just past the latter turning you will ascend the Abel Erasmus Pass, and go through the J G Strydom Tunnel, after this you will be descending into the Lowveld. Shikwari Bush Lodge & Pangolin Bush Camp is approximately 8kms on the right-hand side after the tunnel.
Johannesburg:
Southern Suburbs:
Get onto the N12 to eMalahleni (Witbank) then follow the direction above from eMalahleni.
Northern Suburbs
Take the N1 to Pretoria and then the Witbank N4. *See above from N4.
*Nelspruit (Mbombela) & White River
Taking the R40 after about +/-23 kms turn left from Nelspruit (Mbombela) & Right from White River onto the R537 towards Sabie. Once in Sabie take the R532 to Graskop continue out of Graskop on the R532 at the T-junction turn Right (R36) see above from Abel Erasmus Pass.
Hazyview From Casterbridge take the Hazyview turning off the roundabout and turn left into Hazyview. Then follow:
- Traveling North on theR40 out of Hazyview turn left at the R353 Graskop at the t-Junction in Graskop with the Graskop Hotel on the corner turn right, continue through the village and turn left onto the R532 at the end of the road. This takes the route along the Blyde River Canyon. Approx. 77kms, eventually one comes to a T-junction, turn right onto the R36. ascend the Abel Erasmus Pass, and go through the J G Strydom Tunnel, after this you will be descending into the Lowveld. Shikwari Bush Lodge & Pangolin Bush Camp is approximately 8kms on the right-hand side after one is through the tunnel.
From Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport.
At the entrance to the airport turn right onto the Argyle Road continue until you go through a boom and arrive at a T-Juntion. Turn left here and continue for 7kms in Hoedspruityou will go through a 4 way stop and at the next you will turn left and go over a railway bridge. Continue on this road out of Hoedspruitfor +/- 38kms; after the turning to Tzaneen you will see our signs. From there we are 3kms on the left.
On arrival at gate:
The gate is locked for your security so you will need to press the Reception button on gate intercom for reception and announce your name clearly to gain access (communication is only 30 seconds after which it cuts off).
The gate is run by cell phone coverage and due to the fact of the remote, you can at times experience wavering connectivity. Should you get no response please try pressing again after a couple of seconds. Please note the intercom must dial before it is answered and must not be held in with the finger. The gate does not automatically open for access or egress.
Should intercom still not work call the number on the wall at the gate for reception.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR SPEED LIMIT IS STRICTLY 15KMS ON THE PROPERTY, ALL WILDLIFE HAS RIGHT OF WAY.
Shikwari Suites
Shikwari Game Reserve offers two camps on the reserve close to Kruger & the Panorama. Relax on the lodge veranda taking in the view and cool off in the shady pool. The reserve has Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Nyala, Waterbuck, Bush buck, Duiker and Ostrich plus many birds. Enjoy friendly relaxed service in amazing surroundings and great cuisine. The camp offers a fully licensed bar & lounge with premium DSTV. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lounge/veranda area. Relax on the shady lodge veranda taking in the view & cool off in the pool with an amazing view. Enjoy relaxed friendly service in amazing surroundings.
Six luxury thatched suites are tucked into the natural bush; with private bathroom & outdoor shower, sitting area plus a small patio decorated with stylish furniture & choice of beds with percale linen. There is a Hospitality Tray with fresh ground coffee, French press, a choice of quality teas & homemade cookies as well as a mini fridge. The fridge can be stocked on request, charge to guests account. There is also a Turndown service. It is situated on the private plains game reserve of Shikwari.
Pangolin Rondavels
Pangolin Rondavels is a more budget option but very comfortable. There are 4 traditional thatched rondavels. 2 rondavels with a “Bush Bathroom” - outdoor shower, covered toilet & basin & 2 rondavels share a separate bathroom and outdoor shower suitable for 4 friends or a family with teenagers. All beds offer luxury percale linen as well as towels. All rooms have a wardrobe, seating, & hospitality trays. There is a lounge with Premium DSTV and a pool. Meals are taken at the main lodge. It is situated on the private plains game reserve of Shikwari.
Guided Game drives & walks with a FGASA guide available at the lodge and to Kruger Park in an open game vehicle. The reserve is also close many other exciting day trips such as the Panorama and the Graskop Gorge Lift.
Guests at both camps take meals at the Shikwari Suites. Meals at Shikwari include Half Board at Pangolin we offer B&B or Half board. Lunch packs are available on request the 24hrs ahead.
