Trailers and Airstreams, the New Pop Up Hotel
Written By: Alexandria Autrey
Airstreams have become trendy and in recent years, hotels, offices and restaurants have popped up in stationary trailers from coast to coast. Since 2009, airstreams sales have been up and they are selling five times as in the past few years. Airstream was founded in 1932 by Wally Byam, a California outdoorsman who designed a teardrop-shaped wooden trailer for his wife, after she complained about camping in tents. He decided to name it Airstream because, he wanted it to sound fast and aerodynamic. Since then, Airstream has kept the same exterior as it still looks modern. The only difference is, the interior has been modernized to make camping a little more bearable. With the recent interest in airstreams, many people have been converting these mobile dwellings into stationary glamping suites. Glamping in a trailer or airstream is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. Just imagine a luxurious accommodation perched amongst the timbers of Vermont with amenities only matched by the view or taking up residency in a restored vintage Airstream along the Santa Barbara coast. These mobile pads are becoming more popular in the glamping community because, of their nostalgic experience and portability. For your first, or even next glamping trip, consider airstream as you definitely can't go wrong with any of the properties listed below.
