View Google MapsJust across the mountain from Telluride, Dunton Hot Springs Resort is a romantic ghost town, set in an extraordinary alpine valley. Nestled in the breathtaking San Juan Mountains of the Colorado Rockies, Dunton Hot Springs and Dunton River Camp respond to their majestic alpine setting by providing guests with rustically elegant accommodations, luxurious appointments, exclusive hospitality, and an authentic Colorado glamping experience.
Dunton Hot Springs can sleep a maximum of 44 guests in thirteen beautifully funished luxury cabins ranging in size from one to five bedrooms. This perfectly restored ghost town thrives on contradictions: hand-hewn log cabins exquisitely furnished, a life-worn saloon serving food of startling quality, lung torturing trails followed by pampering massages, sensuous hot springs beneath shimmering snow banks. Free of cell phones, this romantic, old mining town still provides high speed wireless Internet access in every cabin.
Dunton River Camp is an amazing addition to a stay at Dunton Hot Springs, with 8 luxury tents (and en-suite bathrooms), a stay at the River Camp is as soul enriching as it comes. These 8 accommodations are located at Cresto Ranch, formerly a cattle ranch back in the late 1800s. The original farmhouse from the time sits in its original location about 20 feet from the West Fork of the Dolores River and is surrounded by approximately 500 acres of amazing fields, meadows and forest. There are a total of eight tents, prospector style, sitting on 640-square foot wooden platforms anchored to the bedrock. Each tent has all the amenities you would expect in a luxury hotel, however you are in an actual (albeit very large) tent. Each tent has two mountain bikes for guests to use around the property or on the many trails surrounding the camp, and the West Fork of the Dolores river flows through the camp itself. There truly is something to experience for the whole family.
Nightly rates include all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and beverages (excluding fine liquors and wines on our reserve list). Use of the hot springs, library, mountain bikes, wifi, telephone calls and laundry are also included in the rates.

Dunton Hot Springs is an actual historic ghost town, as in a town that was abandoned and has now been restored as a true, luxury, wild-west mountain retreat.
